    AI Innovation in Services Marketing

  • Original language description

Recently, the convergence of artificial intelligence (AI) and services marketing has rapidly become a defining and ubiquitous trend. AI tools and technologies provide customer service through chatbots, personalize consumer experiences via recommendation algorithms, and streamline marketing decision-making with predictive analytics. These innovations offer unprecedented opportunities to enhance service quality and personalization, but they also raise challenges around data privacy, workforce displacement, as well as the balance between automation and the human touch. As service industries worldwide face these transformations accelerated in part by the digital shifts of the COVID-19 era, understanding AI’s implications for marketing strategies and customer relationships has become essential. Within this context, the new edited volume entitled “AI Innovation in Services Marketing” offers a timely and insightful exploration of how AI is reshaping the services marketing landscape. Edited by Ricardo Correia and Dominyka Venciute and published by IGI Global in 2024, the book compiles nine chapters of research and case studies that collectively illuminate the multifaceted role of AI in service contexts.
