Original language description
The contribution informs about analysis of perception of meat in the Czech Republic. In 1998 the meat consumers exploration was focused to perception analysing the seven type of meat by the Czech consomer (pork, beef, mutton, chicken, lamb, fish and turkey). During the abovementioned study the 167 questioners of random selected meat consumers was analysed. The study says, the Czech consumer decision during the shopping of any type of meat is mainly influent by freshness, health aspects, the meat fatness, price and avaibility. The fish, chicken, turkey and lamd the Czech consumer is considered as convenient meat for health. An exclusive meat and really expensive is by the Czech consumer perceived the turkey, fish and beef. The pork has at the Czech consumer the dominant position until now (56% from the total annual meat consumtion per capita in the CR present pork).
