Možnosti produkce a využití biobutanolu v podmínkách ČR

  • Original language description

Biobutanol production by acetone-butanol-ethanol (ABE) fermentation from sugar beet juice and milled corn using Clostridium acetobutylicum and Clostridium beijerinckii lead to competitive ABE yields and productivities 37, 27 % and 0.4, 0.2 g/l/h, respectively. Further bioprocess improvement might be achieved by integration of gas stripping with fermentation. Advantageous physico-chemical properties in comparison to ethanol predestinate 1-butanol to become superior biocomponent of motor fuel mixtures. Addition of 1-butanol to motor benzine up to 10 % vol. did not affect adversely CO, HC and NOx fuel emissions of three types Skoda cars.
