The Industry 4.0 concept represents not only technological challenges but it also raises questions in the area of managing employees and their readiness for new tasks connected with this concept. With the help of appropriate methodical procedures, the paper sets to evaluate changes in competences requirements of managers and employees in Industry 4.0. Basic conceptual background of Industry 4.0 is summarized and the connection to corresponding personal, managerial and competence questions is emphasized. Further changes in requirements from ordinary employees and managements from ordinary employees and management members are considered and evaluated. Key contributions of the paper are accentuation of personal aspects in Industry 4.0 and contribution to discussion about readiness of people for changes relates with this concept
