ICT in Changes of Learning Theories
Original language description
Learning theories have been developed over the past 150 years. Positive features from many theories influence teaching/learning process in schools to this day. From the point of view information and communication technology there were four learning theories that have been often utilized in the creation of instructional environments: behaviourism, cognitivism, constructivism, and connectivism. Connectivism is learning theory for the digital age. It was introduced as a theory of learning based on the premise that knowledge exists in the world rather than in the head of an individual. Paper will discuss impact technology on relations to learning theories behaviourism, cognitivism, constructivism, and connectivism in school practice with research results of science teachers. The last part of paper gives example of using ICT in the inquiry-based education in science subjects.
