Value-added models in education express school contribution to the progress of a pupil in relation to predetermined educational goals between individual educational phases. This parameter belonging to the field of educational results is influenced to a certain extent by different factors that add to the education and development of pupils. Within the developing processes of quality management, school managements gain relatively objective data about the learning progress of particular pupils, the added value of education of individual teachers and the whole school.
