Original language description
The aim of this paper is to analyze the behavior of customers influenced by demographic factor (specifically gender) on the pharmaceutical market. The analysis is focused on five selected groups of medicaments, namely vitamins and minerals, immune support medicines, painkillers, pharmaceutical cosmetics and medicines to support the nervous system. There are analyzed differences in behavior among men and women in each category of medicaments. The analysis is performed using the method of regression analysis. Influence is identified in the first step and it is quantified subsequently. There is applied a logistic regression method in this problem because a dependent variable (purchase of the medicaments) is discrete and binary.
