At this time, every organization or firm strive to make a profit, to keep their current employees, especially those that are the key employees, and to attract new ones. In order to know what competencies the key employees should have, the organization can apply competency models. The key question is what the key competencies in each position are, and what remuneration is preferred and, therefore, motivating for both the employees and the employer. Main objective of this paper is to present results from a case study aimed at utilization of the analytic hierarchy process method (AHP) in competency modeling and total remuneration. The main result of this case study presents the most important competencies for a selected position and, also the employees' preferences when it comes to the tangible and intangible remuneration.
