Original language description
This study is focused on a stability investigation of thirty-six samples of cimetidine nanoparticles that were prepared using antisolvent precipitation-solvent evaporation and emulsion solvent evaporation methods. Two types of solvents, two types of surfactants and three types of polymers as stabilizers were chosen. Dynamic light scattering was used for the determination of nanoparticles size. A dark tempered chamber for sample storage and the period of 7 days were chosen as conditions for stability study. Acetone was found to be preferable solvent in terms of stability. Tween 80 and the combination of sodium dodecyl sulfate and macrogol 6000 were the most suitable excipients for stabilization of cimetidine nanoparticles, i.e., no crystallization occurred during storage.
