  • Original language description

    Scratch wound healing assays are widely used to study cell migration and in vitro wound healing. This paper presents a novel method for evaluating and visualizing these assays based on a combination of the level-set method and image sector analysis. The proposed approach enables robust segmentation of the wound area even in low-contrast microscopy images and provides a spatially resolved characterization of cell migration as a function of distance from the wound edge. By linking global wound closure measurements with local migration dynamics, the method offers deeper insight into collective cell behavior and is supported by an interactive computational tool for image analysis.
