Original language description
Protoplast of various Cucumis accessions were isolated from leaves, growing apices, hypocotyls and calluses. The effect of plant culture medium, explant age and explant type on protoplast viability were investigated. The protoplast were cultured on threetypes of culture media and two temperatures.

Czech description
Protoplasty vybraných druhů rodu Cucumis byly izolovány z listů, vzrostných vrcholů, hypokotylů a z kalusů. Donorové rostliny byly kultivovány na médiích s různými koncentracemi sacharozy. Izolované protoplasty byly kultivovány na třech typech kultivačních médií. Byl testován vliv genotypu, donorové části rostliny a kultivačního média na životnost protoplastů.
