(Multiple) Case Study Design in (Special) Education Research

  • Original language description

The paper is of a theoretical research nature and deals with the multiple case research design. The paper summarizes available information about the typology of case studies that can be used in various research studies of auxiliary professions including(special) education research. Practical application of this study design is illustrated on an authorial quality-based research study of lifestyle limitations in persons with chronic illnesses, where the research sample consisted of multiple sclerosis patients. The results of the research study were also reflected in the summary of possible limitations of this design. Regarding the fact that the multiple case design is widely applicable, the paper is valuable in education, special education and medical research as well as in the area of auxiliary professions.
