On the response of wood plates to high rates of loading

Original language description

Wood plates made from different types of wood have been impacted by three different kinds of projectile: 7.62 mm bullet, ball -- Ć = 5.3 mm and sharp fragment. Results of the ballistic testing are presented and discussed. Relation between ballistic resistance and density of wood is described and evaluated. The experimental results have been described in terms of a simple analytical model.

Czech description

Dřevěné desky byly zatěžovány třemi typy projektilů: projektilem 7,62 mm, ocelovou kuličkou - průměr 5,3 mm a definovanou střepinou. Jsou prezentovány a diskutovány výsledky balistických testů. Popsána a vyhodnocena je korelace mezi balistickou odolnostídřeva a jeho hustotou. Byl vypracován jednoduchý analytický model.
