SMEs are an integral part of all developed and emerging economies and contribute significantly to the economic, social and regional growth of society as a whole. Therefore, many research studies are currently addressing the area and importance of small and medium-sized enterprises in regional development. The main subject of the paper is to identify the economic performance of small and medium-sized enterprises primarily oriented on e-commerce. The main aim of the paper is to evaluate the impact of economic performance of a defined set of small and medium-sized enterprises primarily oriented on e-commerce on selected indicators of regional development in the Czech Republic. The paper identifies the main research sample of small and medium-sized enterprises primarily oriented on e-commerce, selected regional development indicators and uses the methods of financial analysis and methods of statistic induction and descriptive statistics for verification of research hypotheses. The main contribution of this paper is the evaluation the economic performance of selected small and medium-sized enterprises in e-commerce and their importance in regional development in the Czech Republic.
