Original language description
This study was focused to map the occurrence of bacteriological risks in raw cow's milk. In total, 228 samples of bulk tank milk from 40 farms were collected and investigated in 2012 - 2014 in the Czech Republic. The occurrence of the following coagulase-positive staphylococci (Staphylococcus aureus). The further examination of obtained pathogens involved antimicrobial susceptibility, detection of enterotoxin encoding genes and resistance to oxacillin in S. aureus. The results of this study confirm the presence of pathogenic bacteria in raw milk. Information on public health hazards associated with the consumption of raw milk should be extended to the potential consumers and drinking of untreated raw milk could be avoided.
