Original language description
This paper is the result of a broader quantitative survey regarding the knowledge of teaching methods in terms of the different actors (teachers, pupils, parents) in the educational process in primary education. Teaching methods are among the basic educational categories. They can be defined as a structured system of teaching activities of a teacher and learning activities of a pupil, which aims to achieve educational goals. The aim of this paper is to describe and analyse how pupils in the Czech Republic perceive the use of teaching methods in practice, what strengths and weaknesses they can see in teaching methods and how they perceive the overall educational process. The research was conducted on the subjects of Geography and History. With regard to the objective of the research, a questionnaire was chosen as the basic research method. The research sample was made up of pupils of the fourth and fifth grades of a primary school
