Approximation of convex functions in Asplund generated spaces
Original language description
An Asplund generated space is a Banach wihich contains densely the linear image of an Asplund space. We prove that every continuous convex function on an Asplund generated space can be represented as the pointwise limit of a non-decreasing sequence of continuous convex functions which are locally affine on dense open sets. The result is proved first for sublinear functions and then extended to convex functions.
