Effect of Preparation of Pd and Pd-Pt Catalysts from Acid Leached Silica-Alumina on Their Activity in HDS of Thiophene and Benzothiophene
Original language description
Silica-alumina (MSA) was modified by acid leaching and used as support of Pd and Pd-Pt catalysts. The leaching decreased the Al2O3 content from 52 to 9 wt.% and increased Br?nsted acidity and BET surface area. This improved activities of Pd catalysts inHDS of thiophene and benzothiophene. The bimetallic Pd-Pt catalyst prepared from Pd acetate and Pt(NH3)4(OH)2 showed significant promotional effect in HDS.
