Temperature and relative humidity profiles in a reconstructed building provided with an interior thermal insulation system are determined in a time period of five months. The hygrothermal performance of the system based on the hydrophilic mineral wool thermal insulation is found to be very good. No overhygroscopic moisture content appears in the structure even in the most critical part of the year, which is the winter period
