Behaviors of Indicated Efficiency of SI Engine at Low Load under EGR Delivery and Mixture Heating
Original language description
The article is focused on an investigation of the changes of the indicated efficiency in the high-pressure as well as in the low-pressure part of the working cycle of an SI engine at low load. This investigation was carried out within the framework of research on possibilities for increasing the SI engine efficiency at low load. SI engine was tested under conditions of both un-cooled EGR delivery and mixture heating (without EGR delivery). Testing engine was natural gas fuelled on a stoichiometric basis. Low engine load was represented by chosen value of bmep=200 kPa. Different behaviors of the indicated efficiency in both high-pressure and low-pressure part of working cycle under EGR and mixture heating conditions were observed.
