Matrix Converter Two-Step Commutation Method Development
Original language description
The matrix converter is a very popular topic in recent years. The paper describes the realized compact matrix converter two-step commutation method. This commutation strategy was implemented in VHDL for FPGA and simulated in Simulink. But it was necessary to link Simulink with Modelsim that can simulate VHDL code. So these two sophisticated programs had to cosimulate. The developed two-step method is two-time faster than the formerly implemented four-step method. But the cosimulation in MatLab and Modelsim has proved that it includes some limitations not respected in theoretical analysis.
