Six-DOF Sensory System for Interactive Communication on Human Robot Interface
Original language description
This survey paper introduces a modular, optoelectronic-based sensory system that measures axial and angular displacements for robotic and human-machine interface applications. This is done by means of a 2-D or annular CCD array, or a set of PSD elements, and four laser diode light beams or planes that define a shape of the pyramid. Presented here is the communication needed for 3-D positioning and motion control based on the six degrees of freedom force-torque transducer, like a hand controller, head controller with force interaction, handheld signature scanner, keyboard for blind people, actively controlled prosthetic leg, with range-incline finder and customized design of a dexterous hand. This system will enable a low cost customization
