The paper deals with the mapping of the current state of gifted education problem in Spain, Brazil and (South) Korea. Gifted education development, its current state, legislation, institutions dealing with giftedness, process of identification and teacher training are introduced within each country. The detailed descriptions of specific institutions or schools for gifted pupils or students are attached to selected countries. The article was created as an output from the subject Educating IntellectuallyGifted students which was taught at the Faculty of Education at the University of Tampere in Finland.
