Reflections of Cultural Heritage and National Memory in Residential and Landscape Spaces

Anotace anglicky

The general aim of the project is to identify and present the forms of manipulating urban and landscape space which took place throughout the 20th century in the Pilsen region, that is in the city of Pilsen and in selected rural residences in West Bohemia, in relation to political changes, technological innovations and the ways of leisure activities (in accordance with thematic priorities 1.4, 2.1 and 2.4). The project concentrates on the following themes: 1) urbanism and transformations (of the conceptualization of) public space (in contrast with private space), 2) transformations of villages and rural landscape and the related imaginings (nationalism, collectivization, post-socialist transformation) and 3) historical forms of exploiting and modifyinglandscape for the purposes of recreation or alternative lifestyle (e.g. tramping). The identification (i.e. research) tools will consist of interviews with contemporaries (oral history), participant and non-participant observation, analysis of documents, archival documents and audiovisual materials, GIS mapping, semi-structured interviews with expert informants, visual-anthropological methods (ethnographic film). The presentation (or application) tools will consist of: 1) Certified guidelines for the implementation of the issue of cultural heritage protection ? (a) i the context of urban space and (b) in the context of rural landscape ? in elementary and secondary education. 2) Exhibitions focusing on the key project themes (urban space ? the case ofPilsen, countryside and landscape, leisure in the recent past). After the end of the project, the exhibitions will be made available for lending for schools, museums and other educational institutions. 3) Maps representing historical transformations of selected sites in urban and rural environment, as well as the symbolic schemes related to the sites. The project outcomes will be presented in the form of interactive website accessible to the public.

Zhodnocení výsledků projektu

Projekt byl při závěrečném hodnocení dle protokolu ze závěrečného hodnocení ze dne 19. 3. 2014 hodnocen „Neuspěl podle zadání“, vzhledem k uplatnění pouze 10 z původně 16 plánovaných a závazných hlavních aplikovaných výsledků, tzn. 62,5 %. Dne 18. 9. 2015 bylo úspěšně dokončeno posuzování dalších pěti výstupů Nmap. Projekt splnil 93,75 % aplikovaných výsledků a výsledné hodnocení projektu je přehodnoceno na „Uspěl podle zadání“.
