Mapping, management and financing of local culture in the context of its public support and preservation of the intangible cultural heritage

Anotace anglicky

The main objective of the project is to analyse and evaluate the structure of the spatial distribution, management and financing of local culture, including its link to tourism, and to propose measures for its preservation in selected regions of the Czech Republic in order to ensure permanent, sustainable, systematic and effective care of local culture from the perspective of its financing from public funds while respecting the importance, diversity and richness of the preserved intangible cultural heritage. To fulfil this main objective, the sub-objectives of the project (DC) were defined: DC 1. To set up a methodology for quantitative mapping at the regional level, and on this basis to reveal their spatial structure at the municipal level using methods of exploratory analysis of spatial data in geographical information systems. Select municipalities for qualitative mapping of actors and events of local culture in the Zlín and Central Bohemia regions. DC 2. Classify local culture management systems at the level of municipalities in the thematic division of local culture into 2.1 intangible cultural heritage in the sense of care for its preservation in relation to demographic, social and technological nationally specific and global trends and the resulting risks of further development; 2.2 local culture as a tool to support community life. Both cases propose methodological approaches to manage them at local and regional level, by monitoring the links between the different actors and stakeholders through social network analysis and interview analysis using an embedded theory approach. DC 3. Design and validate methodological procedures for collecting, processing, analysing and setting up local culture funding at the local and regional level. Set up processes to support and evaluate the impact of local cultural events on the economy and public budgets. DC 4. To verify the proposed methodology on case studies of selected regions before their certification.
