Sacral objects: presentation, care and valorization

Anotace anglicky

The project is focused on applied research of the presentation of sacred monuments and the possibilities of its use in the tourism. With its cultural, artistic and historical significance and its preserved quantity, sacral monuments are the important part of the national cultural heritage. The aim of the project is to create a methodology for the presentation of sacred monuments in cultural and educational events, such as The Night of Churches, which is an example of short-term presentation of national cultural heritage to the masses and opportunity to get acquainted with often otherwise inaccessible sights. The involvement of experts from universities, monument care and church institutions will make it possible to create a comprehensive methodology, taking into account aspects of modern professionally based presentation with an educational impact and eliminate inappropriate presentation or even damage of monuments. The second, more broadly conceived methodology will focus on the forms and possibilities of presenting sacred monuments as an important part of the national cultural heritage, which is naturally part of the life of contemporary democratic society. Cultural heritage through the forthcoming methodology will be more emphasized as part of contemporary living culture, which will significantly improve access to these cultural goods by public. The project will produce interactive specialized maps with professional content presenting sacred monuments with emphasis on their educational and tourist potential. During the project, two exhibitions will be held focusing on the possibilities of presenting sacred objects, including their equipment, which will be accompanied by critical catalogs. The conclusions will be based on examples, such as the phenomenon of the pilgrimage site at Calvary in Jaroměřice u Jevíčka. Theses will be continuously verified by professional discussion on the basis of published professional articles.
