AescuLab - systematic laboratory education of students and research staff in the area of Life Sciences with e-learning support

Anotace anglicky

The goal of the Aesculab project is to increase the level of personal qualification in research and science, by improving the preparation and expertise of target groups (students of doctorate and graduate studies of Science programs on universities) in laboratory methodologies within the area of molecular and cell biology, biochemistry and immunology. The project is realised through a collaboration of three departments of Faculty of Science and Faculty of Medicine of Palacký University, which are involved in the research and development in Life Sciences: Department of Biochemistry and Laboratory of Growth Regulators of Faculty of Science, and the Institute of Immunology of Faculty of Medicine. In the frame of the project, most important experimental methods and laboratory techniques from molecular and cell biology, biochemistry and immunology areas will be described and documented. Each experimental module will contain the description of background, summary of required material and instrumentation including photo documentation, detailed description of the methodology and result analysis. In total 100 experimental modules and laboratory techniques will be elaborated and documented. Within the frame of the project, there will be organised workshops during 3 trimesters where students and research scientist will have possibility to become acknowledged with experiments relevant to their research area and themes of their diploma and PhD thesis. The acquainted methods will be trained and practised in the laboratory under the supervision of skilled laboratory personnel and expert managers of the projects. We expect to train some 300 students and researchers from Faculties of Science and Medicine of Palacký University in Olomouc.

V rámci realizace projektu bylo vytvořeno 110 e-learningových modulů, které zdokumentovaly nejdůležitější experimenty a pokročilé laboratorní techniky v oborech molekulární a buněčné biologie, biochemie a imunologie nutné pro výzkumnou práci. K jednotli?
