Anotace anglicky
The Chalcedonian distinction of divinity and humanity in Christ is until today a basis we cannot return before. At the same time it leads to insolvable paradoxes: the result of its interpretation has been always either a diminution of one of the natures or the break-up of the person of Christ. The project brings a new interpretation preserving the Chalcedonian distinction as well as the full divinity and humanity of Christ in the necessary dynamics of their relation and in the unity of the person. Central is the idea of God’s accommodation which binds the incarnation firmly into the Trinity. The accommodation is a new definition of divinity: it is conceived as the central attribute of God which allows us to think of God in his radical adaptation to human conditions without reducing his divinity. The accommodation is the leading principle of this christological concept: proceeding from the preexistence over the incarnation, a radical interpretation of the death of Christ as the death of God, to the resurrection and Ascension where the humanity of Christ becomes a part of the Trinity.
