Anotace anglicky

The Czech Republic has undergone a profound economical and social transformation in the past few decades. The changes that have occurred in society showed strongly in the change in the demographic behaviour of society and the change in the general population climate. Changes are occurring in the natural reproduction of the population, the consequence of this is that there are changes in the age structure of the population. In the future this fact might bring considerable problems in a number of areas ofthe economy. In both demography and statistics the methods appropriate to the given field are used for the evaluation of these changes. In demography the method of standardisation, demographic models and prognoses. Statistics uses the analysis of time series. The analysis of demographic data classified in time series makes it possible to consider the development and mutual relations of demographic phenomena. We are convinced that it is useful to apply statistical and demographic procedures jointly andthus make the process of the analysis of demographic phenomena more effective.
