Research of return benefits of the Czech diaspora to the homeland and to Czech society

Anotace anglicky

Evaluation of the benefits of the Czech diaspora for the state (its economy, social and cultural sphere). 1) Determination of material and non-material benefits (remittances) that flow from the Czech diaspora back to the homeland; 2) Indication of the type and extent of these benefits (and the areas in which they are most evident), i.e. qualification and quantification of these benefits; 3) Obtaining relevant data that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, or any other department of the government, does not currently have available in a sufficient and complete form. Their acquisition and processing appears to be an essential step towards the development of another modern state policy. (some EU states already have this area mapped on the basis of similar projects). The project follows on from the research in 2020-2022 TITXMZV919 "New approaches to the coordination of expatriate policy". This is a "mirror oriented" project in relation to the previous project, which is aimed at the needs of the state and its economy in relation to the Czech diaspora. Its conclusions will lead to the adjustment of the state's policy towards the Czech diaspora. Specifically: 1) Marking the needs of the state in relation to the benefits of the diaspora (flowing from the diaspora back to the homeland); 2) Implementation proposals for the creation/setting of state policy so that these benefits can flow more intensively and efficiently in the future than before. 3) An integral part is the evaluation of the influence of the activities of Czech schools abroad (Saturday Czech schools) on the strengthening of pro-return trends among children and parents within the diaspora, especially among the young generation abroad (consolidation of language and national identity, as keys to returns to the Czech Republic).
