Un vaudeville français « Aventures et voyages du petit Jonas » (Eugène Scribe-Henri Dupin, Paris 1829) représenté pour la première fois dans la version allemande à Vienne en 1829 (« Fortunat’s Abentheuer zu Wasser und zu Land », une traduction de Johann Wenzel Lembert), puis à Budapest, à Berlin et à Prague (1830). À Prague, il a été traduit de l’allemand en tchèque par Josef Kajetán Tyl (« Václav Outrata a podivné příhody jeho po zemi a pod vodou », première le 27 avril 1834). L’étude compare la version française et tchèque de la pièce, décrit les moyens de sa localisation au milieu de la société tchèque, examine la manière de la mise-en-scène tchèque et française, compare les caractères des personnages tchèques et françaises et décrit les éléments du théâtre populaire viennois contenues dans la version tchèque. De même l’étude attire l’attention à la dimension européenne du théâtre d’Eugène Scribe.

The French vaudeville "Aventures et voyages du petit Jonas" (Eugène Scribe - Henri Dupin, Paris 1829) was first presented in the German version in Vienna 1829 ("Fortunat's Abentheuer zu Wasser und zu Land", translated by Johann Wenzel Lembert), later in Budapest, Berlin and Prague (1830). In Prag it was translated from German to Czech by Josef Kajetán Tyl ("Václav Outrata a podivné příhody jeho po zemi a pod vodou", premiere April 27, 1834). The present paper compares the French and the Czech versions of the original play, describes the means of its localization in the milieu of the Czech society, analyses the way of the Czech and French staging, compares the types of characters and describes the elements of Vienna "Volkstheater" in the Czech version. Last but not least it brings attention to the European dimension of the Scribe's writings for theater.
