Die Theaterabteilung des Nationalmuseums ist der wichtigste Museum-basierte Theaterinstitution in der Tschechischen Republik und zweitreichste Abteilung des Nationalmuseums in Bezug auf die Größe der Sammlung. Der Artikel stellt kurz den einzelnen Fonds der Theaterabteilung vor und beschreibt im Detail die Sammlung von Theaterzetteln und Theaterplakaten und ihre Bedeutung für die Erforschung des tschechischen Theaters.

The article shortly mentions its individual funds, and then, in details, describes the collections of theatre signboards and posters and its importance for the historical research of Czech theatre.
