Název v původním jazyce
Selection of wheat genotypes with combination of resistance gene Lr19 and glutenin alleles with positive effect on bread making quality
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
Marker assisted selection is an indirect selection that enables to eliminate undesirable alleles from the population and to accelerate the development of genotypes with the desired trait or traits combination. By means of protein markers (endopeptidase allele Ep-D1c and HMW-GS) we have selected genotypes with combination of wheat leaf rust resistance gene Lr19 and HMW-GS alleles with positive effect on bread making quality from the population derived from the cross (Simona x Sunnan) x Hana. From the progeny of (Simona x Sunnan) x Hana 150 plants were analyzed for the presence of endopeptidase allele Ep-D1c. Presence of Ep-D1c was confirmed in 31 plants. Progeny of the tested plants expected to possess Lr19 was selected for the presence of HMW-GS alleles 5+10 and absence of undesirable alleles 2+12. By SDS-PAGE method 120 kernels were analyzed. Seven of them had the glutenin profile homozygous in loci Glu-A1, Glu-B1, and Glu-D1 with HMW-GS O, 7+8 and 5+10. Presence of the resistance gen
