Zoning of agriculture land of specific energy crops for biomass production is a toll which can help balance demand for biomass production by energy dedicated crops and conventional agricultural crops. The article deals with preliminary results of zoningof agriculture land for perennial plant reed canary grass, which is one of the promising energy crops for the Czech Republic. Methodology of zoning was based on results of field testing (small experimental plots) of reed canary grass (Phalaris arundinacea L.) of field testing (yields) were related to the Czech agricultural land valuation, e.g. to its production-ecological soil units (BPEJ in Czech). Zoning can be used in strategic planning and farming practice to select the best suitable land.
