Economic weights of traits were calculated for Holstein or Czech Pied cattle in Czechia. Situations with and without quota for milk and milk fat were assumed. The following economic weights (10% discounting rate, with quota) were calculated for Holsteinor Czech Pied (in parentheses) cattle: milk yield with constant fat and protein contents 3.20 (3.71) CZK/kg, fat content 879 (1186) CZK/%, protein content 6272 (5017) CZK/%, net daily gain 9.76 (10.51) CZK/(g/day), dressing percentage 160 (185) CZK/%, feCZK/%, feed conversion -163 (-184) CZK/(MJ ME/kg), cow weight -5.4 (-4.9) CZK/kg, interval between first and last successful breeding of heifers -17.9 (-15.6) CZK/day, calving interval -23.1 (-17.0) CZK/day, cow longevity 397 (559) CZK/lactation. A sensitivity analysis about the influence of changes in input parameters on the economic weights was performed.
