A universal compact ultra-stable sine-wave generator for metrology purposes
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
Many applications in electrical measurements are based on electronic circuits supplied from sine-wave voltage sources. For electronic circuits dedicated to metrology purposes, required specifications of such voltage sources go beyond commercially available generators. A universal ultra-stable sine-wave generator (SWG) with high amplitude and phase resolution operating in audio frequency range was developed in last years at CMI. With fusion of several techniques and optimized design, a DDS based modular generator with two output channels in one (each) compact module with absolute stability bellow level 0.1 uV/V within hour, resolution better than 0.01 uV/V of F.S., programmable refining of SFDR, internal/external synchronization and reference voltage was developed. Built-in compact option for battery operation lowers noise coupling from power source (net) and omit grounding loops for most sensitive measurements. High universality and precision of generators have been demonstrated during development of digital impedance ratio bridge dedicated for primary impedance metrology, where resistive, capacitive and inductive loads are present. Suitability of SWG generators for applications with sensitive devices has been demonstrated during development of circuits energized from SWG and including quantum Hall effect based resistance standards. This paper gives an overview about development and properties of SWG.
