Le subjonctif en français comme en italien est lié, entre autres, a la susceptibilié d'exprimer l'émotion. Le présent article étudie la différence entre la valeur modale du subjonctif en français et en italien. L'emploi du subjonctif français est soumisplus souvent qu'en italien a une r?gle mécanique. Cependant, il existe des cas o? le subjonctif français a conservé sa propre valeur. En italien, l'opposition subjonctif / indicatif refl?te plus souvent qu'en français l'opposition sémantique.

The subjunctive in French and Italian can be used to express emotions. This contribution discusses modal usage of the subjunctive in French as different from Italian. The usage of the subjunctive in French follows grammatical rules more mechanically thanin Italian though there are situations in which the modal potential of the French subjunctive is activated. In Italian, the relation between the subjunctive and indicative stands for a semantic opposition more often than in French.
