Wie hängt Theorie und Praxis, Geist und Natur, Welt und Ich, Zeit und Ewigkeit zusammen? Aus einer spezifischen Perspektive können diese disparaten Themen auf einen Nenner gebracht werden. Genau dies versuchen die Autoren, indem sie sich die Frage stellen, wie der Übergang vom einen zum anderen gelingt. Sie beleuchten die Knotenpunkte im Werke derjenigen Philosophen, die ihr Denken als ein systematisches begreifen und an den Grenzübergängen ihre Denkkraft unter Beweis stellen. Kant, Fichte, Schelling und Hegel nehmen somit klassische philosophische Fragen mit neuer Brisanz aus: Das Wesen der Natur, des Geistes oder der Zeit muss nun als relational begriffen werden und somit tritt in das Wesen der Übergang in die Andersheit ein.
