Název v původním jazyce
Time, Memory and the Processual Approach in Historical Sociology
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
In recognition of his long-standing contribution to historical sociology, this selection of his English-language publications has been compiled to celebrate Jiří Šubrt's 65th birthday. The intention is to present a thematic appraisal of Subrt's research, which has been extensively published in the Czech language, to a wider international audience interested in the problems of time, memory and long-term developmental processes. This book represents a compilation of the author's unpublished texts, which were presented at various international conferences, along with articles previously published in the international journal Historical Sociology based at Charles University, Prague. As the texts were produced in a variety of contexts during a variety of time periods, the impression given by this collection is one of the development of sociological theory through recent decades with the addition of a distinctly central European perspective.
