Autor príspevku sa zameria na interpretáciu dvoch posledných románov súčasného slovenského spisovateľa Silvestra Lavríka, konkrétne próz Nedeľné šachy s Tisom a Posledná k. &amp; k. barónka. Oba Lavríkove texty tematizujú historické udalosti dvadsiateho storočia, ktoré z pohľadu kolektívnej, resp. národnej pamäti predstavujú traumatické udalosti. Súčasne texty spája nielen historické východisko sujetu, ale tiež konkretizácia fikčného priestoru na dejinné udalosti istého regiónu. Vo vzťahu k vytváraniu príbehu je pre autora charakteristické využívanie autentických historických materiálov, ktoré však podriaďuje logike svojho fikčného sveta, čím sa žánrovo pohybuje na osi medzi dokumentárnou prózou a alternatívnou históriou. Prednášajúci sa bude snažiť zodpovedať na otázku, akým naratívnym spôsobom autor modeluje dejinné udalosti v rámcoch historizujúcej prózy, nakoľko funkčný je spôsob vytvárania sujetu príbehu na základe autentických historických dokumentov a do akej miery sú Lavríkove texty ovplyvnené postmodernými rozprávačskými postupmi.

The author of this paper will focus on the interpretation of two recent novels by the contemporary Slovak writer Silvester Lavrík, namely the prose novels Sunday Chess with Tiso and The Last Baroness. Both Lavrík&apos;s texts thematize historical events of the twentieth century, which represent traumatic events from the perspective of collective or national memory. At the same time, the texts are connected not only by the historical basis of the plot, but also by the localization of the fictional space to the historical events of a certain region. In relation to the creation of the narrative, the author is characterized by the use of authentic historical materials, which, however, he subordinates to the logic of his fictional world, thus moving genre-wise on the axis between the documentary prose and alternative history. The lecturer will try to answer the question of how the author models historical events in the framework of historical prose, how functional is the method of creating a narrative plot on the basis of authentic historical documents, and to what extent Lavrik&apos;s texts are influenced by postmodern narrative practices.
