Ludwig Wittgenstein als Schuler Bertrand Russells und Friedrich Schiller als Schuler Immanuel Kants nutzen fur ihre theoretischen Schriften kaum metatheoretische Strukturbegriffe. Eine Ausnahme, in der sich beide Autoren philosophisch treffen, bildet der Begriff des Spiels. Das Spiel ubernimmt hier jeweils die Aufgabe einen Ausweg aufzuzeigen, aus erstarrt-ernsthaften Teoriebildungen der Philosophie in das Flussig-Lebendige menschlicher Praxis. Das Spiel mit dem es bei Wittgenstein und Schiller Ernst wird, steht so fur einen philosophischen Strukturbegriff der seine eigene Uberwindung und Aufhebung als theoretischer Begriff enthalt. Im Folgenden wird die Geschichte des Spiels erzahlt, zugleich als eine Uberwindung der ernsthaft-philosophischen Uberlegungen Russells und Kants und als Aufhebung der Geschichte des philosophischen Ernstes im ernsten Spiel durch Wittgenstein und Schiller.

Ludwig Wittgenstein as a student of Bertrand Russell and Friedrich Schiller as a student of Immanuel Kants use hardly any meta-theoretical concepts for their theoretical writings. An rare exception, in which both authors meet philosophically, is the concept of the game. Both take the game serious and show with it a playful way out of the petrified-serious philosophical theory into the fluid-livingness of human practice. In Wittgenstein and Schiller the game stands for a meta-theoretical concept which contains its own negation and sublation regarding to its former mere theoretical meaning. In the following, the story of the serious game is told, as an sublation of the serious philosophical thinking of Russell and Kant, together with the manifestation of the game in the History of Philosophy through Wittgenstein and Schiller.
