Eine oikologische Bestimmung des Ökologischen kann sich an zwei Thesen orientieren: Die erste These lautet, dass sich das Ökologische über eine differenzierte Auffassung des Subjekts fassen lässt. Die zweite These ist: Eine solche differenzierte Auffassung hat zur Folge, dass das Subjektive nicht in einem Widerspruch zur Bestimmung menschlichen Daseins als eines In-der-Welt-seins steht, sondern im Gegenteil auf ein gegenüber dem Sein in einer Welt noch ursprünglicheres Insein anonymer Subjektivität verweist. Um den Gehalt dieser beiden Thesen darzulegen, wird zunächst eine Genealogie des Ökologischen skizziert, bevor in einer Kritik des Subjekts dessen zweipolige Form des Inseins herausgestellt wird.

An oikological determination of the ecological can be based on these two theses: The first thesis says that the ecological can be grasped through a differentiated conception of the subject. The second thesis emphasized that such a differentiated conception has the consequence that the subjective is not in contradiction to the definition of human existence as being in the world, but on the contrary refers to an even more original being of anonymous subjectivity compared to being in a world. In order to demonstrate the content of these two theses a genealogy of the ecological is first outlined before a critique of the subject develops its bipolar form of being-in.
