Diese Studie wurde als biblisch-theologischer Beitrag zur Frage des Verhältnisses von "Staat und Kirche" erarbeitet. Sie bietet eine kritische Präsentation der einflussreichen biblischen Tradition, die in den deuteronomistischen Texten ihren Niederschlaggefunden hat, und somit ein kritisches Bild des Königtums als Institution in der Bibel.
