Artificial intelligence tools, particularly generative AI, are accelerating the transformation of journalism, as reflected in the institutional changes within the news media. Artificial intelligence detects noteworthy stories within a plethora of digital sources (the field of newsgathering), generates news content - from texts to videos (the field of production), and, last but not least, delivers this content to fragmented audiences (the field of recommendation). The aim of the conference was to highlight the latest technological developments and examples of good practice in the implementation of artificial intelligence tools in the media, with a particular focus on public service media. The event also presented the outcomes of the Newsroom AI project (supported by the Czech Technology Agency), with Czech Radio serving as the application guarantor.
