This article examines the cultural transfer dynamics in the production of König Ottokars Glück und Ende by Dušan D. The work investigates how Parízek’s adaptation of a classic text creates a bridge between Czech and Austrian theatrical traditions, illustrating the fluid exchange of ideas and artistic practices in the context of contemporary European theater. The analysis focuses on the artistic, thematic, and socio-political implications of the production, highlighting the intersections of national identity, historical narrative, and theatrical form.
