This article examines the role of social innovation in reshaping educational systems to better address contemporary challenges and societal needs. It defines social innovation in education as the development of novel, scalable, and sustainable solutions to improve access, quality, and equity in learning environments. By analyzing key case studies, the paper explores how grassroots initiatives, policy reforms, and technological advancements are driving transformative change in educational practices and structures. The article highlights the importance of community involvement, collaboration among stakeholders, and interdisciplinary approaches in fostering educational innovations that are inclusive and socially responsible. It also discusses the potential of social innovation to bridge gaps in educational outcomes, particularly for marginalized groups, and to promote lifelong learning in a rapidly changing world. In conclusion, the article argues that social innovation in education is not only about creating new tools or methods but also about challenging traditional paradigms and reimagining the purpose and function of education in society
