The article introduces an ongoing research project focusing on English Restoration theatre as a multi-genre, transnational phenomenon. It also introduces one of the main planned outcomes of the project: a three-volume anthology of Restoration plays, newly translated into Czech with the help of dramaturgical translation (a newly devised collaborative method of translating for the theatre).
