Conceptual Framework for an Active Ageing Policy on Employment in the Czech Republic.
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
The ageing of the population has a profound impact on many of aspect of society. In the case of the Czech Republic, this demographical phenomenon is accompanied by structural changes on the labour market and the impact of the recent economic crisis. Selected active ageing policies have been implemented in an effort to decrease early exits from the labour market, however both employers and employees often take into account the difficult situation of the slowly recovering economy when considering their prolonged labour market activity. The age management as a tool to deal with an ageing workforce is already recognised by some of the larger employers, but considered to be rather unnecessary, as well as unaffordable by small and medium enterprises. Self-employment and part-time work of older workers have recently become important policies but they also put further pressure on the individual to deal with the risks and externalities.
