This study was focused on the distribution of leeches in Czech Republic and their habitat requirements. Hundred and nine sites of running and stagnant waters were sampled in years 2007-2010, always from April to June. The sampling method was hand collecting, all gathered leeches were counted and determined into the species. Totally, seventeen species were found. These data entered the analysis.
