Sprachkontakt als Herausforderung für die Familiennamenforschung der Gegenwart

Einleitend wird auf die wichtigsten Forschungsergebnisse der Namentheorie hingewiesen, die auch in der Familiennamenforschung der Gegenwart als Ausgangspositionen betrachten werden können. Nicht alle sind von gleicher Geltung. Es werden die Verankerung und Funktionen des in Kontakt tretenden Repertoires und Systems der FaN in der gesellschaftlichen Kommunikation hervorgehoben. Ein Interpretationsproblem stellt die Frage dar, ob ein Sprachkontakt immer auch ein Namenkontakt ist. Im FaN-kontakt sind Untersuchungen zur Auswirkung einzelner Elemente der Namenstruktur (Bildungstyp, Ummotivierung, Morphologisches u ä.) notwendig. Von onomastischer Relevanz sind insbesondere Anpassungen an die Benennungsmodelle. Demensprechend haben die sich am Namenkontakt beteiligten Sprachmittel eine proprial interne und proprial externe Auswirkung: die Interne ist dem System der proprialen Sprachsphäre der Kontaktsprachen, die Externe ihren sprachtypologischen Eigenschaften und Kommunikationssystemen untergeordnet. Beispiele werden aus dem Bereich des tschechisch-deutschen Sprachkontaktes herangezogen.

The introduction points out the most important research results of the contemporary theory of onomastics. Those can also be considered to be the theoretical starting point of the current surname research. Not all results, however, are of the same validity. The incorporation and function of repertoires and surname systems into social communication are of extraordinary significance. The interpretation of the surnames poses the question whether the contact of languages means also the contact of propria. Upon researching the aspect of the inter-language contact of the surnames, attention needs to be paid to the extent of how the individual elements of the surname structure are affected by the contact with another language (type of creation and formation, motivation change, morphology, etc.). Adoption to the naming models appears to be of a critical relevance. Therefore, language elements contributing to the onymic contact are of internal or external natures: internal aspects are subordinated to the systems of the proprial sphere of contact languages while the external ones reflect the typology and generic properties of the social communication systems. Examples from Czech-German language contacts are provided.
